What's new in my closet and what I purchased and will be buying. Style tips for women over 40. Affordable fashion advice. As the weather changes, it is time to coordinate outfits accordingly so that we can make a smooth transition from winter to spring styling. Where I live, the weather fluctuates, one day it is cold and the next day it is unseasonably warm.
Light layers are crucial for transitioning your wardrobe from winter to spring. Light layers include sweaters, cardigans and knits that aren't too heavy or chunky. It is also important to pair winter like clothing with spring-like clothing, for instance a light knit sweater with a flowy floral maxi or midi skirt is a great combination. You can also pair winter-like clothing such as faux leather pants or skirts with spring-like clothing such as floral tops in vibrant colors to come up with remarkable outfits. Here are a few items I purchased and will be purchasing.
Speaking of vegan leather pants, walk the street like you own it in these burgundy high-waisted trousers (I purchased them)! They are sleek and oh so chic. They have a hidden zipper/clasp closure, that falls to tapered pant legs with diagonal front pockets. Seaming at the waist and tailored darting at the back gives these pants some sophisticated flair!
...and what a combination, burgundy and pink. The pink top is undeniably feminine and comfortable, this lace illusion knit top alludes to sexy off-the-shoulder styling, making the vegan leather pants and top an irresistible and alluring outfit combination.
Light up the room the second you step on the scene in this Sunshine Shiny Gold Wide-Leg Halter Jumpsuit! Shiny gold lurex threading meets sheer woven fabric to shape a blousy bodice and a halter neckline that ties above the flirty open back. A banded, fitted waist tops flowy, wide-leg pants that fall to ankle-grazing hems. Hidden back zipper/clasp. I will surely enjoy wearing this stylish jumpsuit.
A black dress is always a great choice. It is appropriate for many situations — particularly those unplanned last-minute occasions. Dressed up with elegant heels and down with functional flats, you will find many uses for this ultimate must-have wardrobe essential. I purchased this lovely high low keyhole dress which features a round neck, sleeveless, cut-in shoulders, piped trim at waist and flowy faux-wrap skirt bottom. Classy and sophisticated for date night or a special occasion after 5.
Cuddling up in knit wear especially as the days slowly get warmer and longer is a great styling decision, so don't put away your sweaters the moment you see those first daffodils. Here are a few of my favorite sweater choices.
So here you have it, these are the kinds of outfit selections that will make you ready for spring, but will still keep you warm if it's cold on some days.
