Go back to the office in style. Dresses for work. Style tips for women over 50. When it comes to style options to wear to meet clients, outfits to wear to the office or clothing choices when you want to achieve a more professional look...how about a dress!
If you're new to my blog, I enjoy all aspects of fashion (especially for fabulous women over 50 like me). However, I particularly like to wear dresses. They are oh so versatile and yes, there is a dress for every occasion. In this blog, I have searched the Macy's website (so that you don't have to). I have come up with a few delightful dress choices to add to your professional wardrobe. So sit back ladies, perhaps grab a beverage and let's get started.
The first dress is gorgeous. This floral flutter sleeve surplice dress offers a timeless silhouette accented by subtle ruching at the waist to create a flattering fit. Flutter sleeves and a surplice neckline enhance its ultra-feminine allure.
Next is this tie-neck sheath dress. It is super polished with tied detail at its neckline. This is the definition of classy and sophisticated...love it!
Move from 9 to 5 and beyond in effortless style with this printed shift dress. I am so in love with the simple yet pulled together design of this dress.
The next look is stunning...this wrap style jersey dress is sure to impress. Not only can you wear it as professional attire...to work...a conference but it can be worn out to dinner...you name it.
Next, is this fit and flare sleeveless utility dress. The dress is super comfortable...but...with the right accessories, it can be dressed up or down. To dress it up, add a structured blazer, throw on a pair of pumps and you're good to go. For a more casual look, wear it like the model in the photo below but add a professional pair of shoes. I'm old school...I prefer not to wear sandals to meet with clients or in the workplace. This of course depends on your work culture and environment so if you can wear sandals...go for it.
The color black is often associated with a more professional or conservative look.
This faux-wrap jersey midi length dress is great. It can also be styled to bring out your uniqueness...your personal style. How about...drumroll...a pair of striking red pumps...maybe add a statement necklace...and don't forget a standout purse.
The next dress is this solid capelet empire-waist sheath dress in the color regatta...need I say more....classy...elegant...stylish.
...and for the final look, this houndstooth a-line dress is oh so nice. Timeless houndstooth takes you from desk to dinner with sophisticated ease. I love pearl accessories with this dress (dainty pearl earrings and necklace)...throw on a blazer or cardigan...and you will be oh so stylish!
In conclusion, these dresses at Macy's are sure to add sophisticated flare to your wardrobe.
